PROFILE/BACKGROUND. HOW WE STARTED DE LA CROIX PRODUCTIONS INTERNATIONAL, INC.
The musical play was an immense undertaking which gathered more than 250 performers, singers, dancers, actors and actresses. Illustrious names joined the production. To name a few: Dr. Harold Evans (The Orchestra Conductor), Professor Sonya Wagner, Marie Rose Coppola (President of Washington Strolling Strings Orchestra), Marty Ray, et al. Numerous recitals and piano concerts were given by the corporation at its headquarters on Massachusetts Avenue. The center of the corporation was hosted on the premises of a luxurious 3 story stone mansion in the most prestigious area of Washington, DC., property of Mr. de Lafayette, president and founder of the corporation. Later on, in its second stage, the corporation embraced various additional social, academic and cultural activities. It produced, financed and published "The Academician Magazine", the first official academic magazine of NASACU. The magazine lasted 3 years. It was solely financed by the corporation and distributed free of charge to all the cultural organizations, colleges and universities in the United States, and abroad as well. Mr. de Lafayette was the first Editor-in-Chief of "The Academician".

Outstanding people in academia, world of research, teaching and journalism joined the publication enterprise of the corporation. To name a few, Dr. Frank Portugal, Dr. Kerim Key from the United States Department of Commerce and Professor at the American University and Southeastern University, Dr. M. Mughissudin, Dean of the International Study Program at the American University, Dr. John Chen, Laureate of the United Nations/UNESCO and Member of The White House Conference on Library Sciences and Information Services, Dr. Raymond Sabalat, Secretary of State of Haiti, Melima Mercouri, Secretary of Culture and Education of Greece, and a fleet of national and international writers, journalists, artists and educators.
